Mit diesem Werk endet vorläufig meine kleine Reise durch die Welt der Expressionisten – und ich hätte keinen besseren Abschluss wählen können als eine Hommage an Henri Matisse. Seine Farbexplosionen, die Lebensfreude in seinen Mustern und die Harmonie aus Formen und Figuren haben mich schon immer fasziniert.

Die Frau am Tisch, umgeben von Blumen, leuchtenden Farben und mediterraner Wärme, lädt ein, innezuhalten. Der Moment wirkt ruhig und doch vibriert das Bild vor Energie. Genau dieses Spannungsfeld – zwischen Gelassenheit und Lebendigkeit – macht für mich den Zauber von Matisse aus.

Beim Malen dieses Bildes ging es mir nicht nur darum, seinen Stil nachzuahmen, sondern seine Haltung zu spüren: Kunst darf Freude machen. Kunst darf bunt sein. Kunst darf das Leben feiern.

Und genau das wollte ich festhalten – ein kleines Fest des Alltags, gefüllt mit Farben, Licht und einem Hauch sehnsuchtsvoller Leichtigkeit.

With this artwork, I am closing my small journey through Expressionist inspiration – and I couldn’t have chosen a more fitting ending than a tribute to Henri Matisse. His vibrant colors, his joyful patterns, and the harmony of shapes have always captivated me.

The woman at the table, surrounded by flowers, luminous colors, and a Mediterranean atmosphere, invites us to pause for a moment. The scene feels calm, yet the entire painting pulses with energy. That contrast – serenity and liveliness at the same time – is, to me, the true magic of Matisse.

While painting this piece, my goal was not just to imitate his style, but to feel his spirit: Art can be joyful. Art can be bold. Art can celebrate life.

That’s what I wanted to capture – a small celebration of everyday beauty, full of color, light, and a touch of wistful ease.
